David Herbert Lawrence (September 11, 1885 – March 2, 1930) was an English author who based much of his work off of his family life. Some of Lawrence’s books were banned in England due to the sexual content they contained.
Despite the controversial nature of his works, few can deny Lawrence was a very talented writer. Some of Lawrence’s best known works are Sons and Lovers, Women in Love, and Lady Chatterley’s Lover.
